Changes through development

due to the fact that i  didn't manage my time well i wasn't able to live up to my original game concept, these are the change from what i planned

-can only place one type of terrain, and you can place terrain anywhere on the board. This has changed my game majorly from what i originally intended but it is still a functional turn-based strategy game.

-The units are mediaeval units,  this is due to the fact that i could not find good  sprites of imps, golems, and other magical  creatures for my game.

-only one kind of damage, i originally planned to have physical and magical damage and defense to make it more strategic in unit choice. I did not implement this as it would take more time as well as it being better suited for a more fleshed out game with a lot of units.

-did not implement fog of war, this would require me to have implemented a few of the systems differently and doesn't work with  how small my board is.

Response to Feedback

- people struggled with the controls having to go back and forth between the UI in the corner to the units on the board so i made it that they only needed to use the UI to place new units as well as end there turn.

- people where confused by the lack of feedback when attacking an enemy, to fix this; i added a health bar, added a UI of stats over units, and made the character greyer to show exhausted status.

Assets

- the only online asset that i used was 'Toen's Medieval Strategy Sprite Pack v.1.0 (16x16)' which i used for all my sprite and tiles. such as the mountains and forest
